Official description

The game is set in the current day. "Modern Day" is a subjective concept tying the release day of the visual novel to the time period of its setting. For the tag to apply, the visual novel must be set in an approximate time period relating to its creation. This means that the period of "Modern Day" has started in the early 80's when the first precursors to the visual novel genre have been.
